Spanish

Spanish is spoken by more than 400 million people in 25 countries. It is the second most spoken language in Southern California. Spanish language study at USC complements most degree programs and opens doors to both personal and professional development. Language students study not only Spanish but also the mosaic of Hispanic culture. Many students will travel to Spain, Mexico, Central, or South America while at USC, enhancing their experience by speaking the language and appreciating the local customs. Many students choose to study abroad as USC offers many options for overseas study in Spanish-speaking countries.
