The goal of this project is to create an updated Geographic Information System of Maya sites. The GIS will provide a place where archaeologists can access a comprehensive database of Maya sites and examine Maya settlement patterns and the spacial relationships between the sites. Currently this GIS focuses on Maya sites ranging from the pre-classic to post-classic periods in Belize. This project was presented at the USC Undergraduate Research Symposium in April of 2012 and was awarded 2nd Place in the Humanities Division. This project is being conducted by Anna Bishop.
