Faculty Mentors are a critical aspect of our Learning Community Program. You get the chance to know one of your Learning Community course professors outside the classroom and see what interests them. Enjoy a conversation about a shared favorite movie, grab a cup of coffee and discuss research opportunities, or simply have your professor explain a difficult concept from class. Whichever way you choose, the accessibility of Learning Community Faculty Mentors makes your adjustment to USC that much easier.

Faculty Mentors are chosen with care, and they all have one thing in common- they love working with incoming freshmen and are beloved by their students. Every Faculty Mentor attends evening events and Learning Community lunches, and keep in touch with their Learning Community students via email. You can get to know your Religion professor over a Dodger Dog at the stadium or get your Psychology professors opinion of what mental state the Phantom from "Phantom of the Opera" was inů either way, it is exciting to get to know and realize that your professors are accessible, friendly, and committed to your success.
