These courses aim at depth of knowledge and development of students' interpretive skills through intellectual engagement with major works of philosophy, literature, art, film, or music. Classes are writing-intensive and limited to thirty students to promote direct interaction between students and faculty. Arts and Letters (ARLT) 100g courses are only open to freshmen. Sophomores have the option of registering for Arts and Letters (ARLT) 100g or Arts and Letters (ARLT) 101g. Juniors and seniors must enroll in Arts and Letters (ARLT) 101g.
