Visualizing Ideology: Labor vs Capital in the Age of Silent Film is the
result of a collaborate process between members of the USC History
Department and the USC Center for Scholarly Technology (CST). The text was
written by Professor Steven J. Ross. Peter LaChapelle and Sharon Sekhon
co-authored the Self-Study Exercises along with Steven Ross. The
electronic conceptualization, design, and implementation of this text was
done by members of the CST project team: Karen Howell, Drew Traglia, Robert
Doiel, and Cliff Yee.
Steven J. Ross is Professor of History at USC and author of Working-Class
Hollywood: Silent Film and the Shaping of Class in America (Princeton, 1998).
Sharon Sekhon and Peter LaChapelle are PhD students in the History
department working in American popular culture.
