The LA-Osaka Comparative Urban Studies Program is a joint project
between the University of Southern California (USC) and Osaka City
University (OCU) to conduct research and provide interdisciplinary
training for graduate students in global and Pacific Rim urban
development and transnational cultural studies, with a particular
focus on historical social geography, economic geography, and the
built environment. Founded in 2002 with CIBEAR funding, the project
supports two-way graduate student and faculty exchange between
the two universities, joint research, a web site, and seminars
and publications.

ロサンゼルス・大阪比較都市研究プロジェクトは、南カリフォルニア大学と大阪市立大学が共同で立ち上げたものです。このプロジェクトの目的は、ロサンゼルス郡と関西地方に関するリサーチを行ない、この二つの地域を比較するために必要な情報を提供することです。また、環太平洋に位置する国際都市として、相互関係についても研究することが目的でもあります。
