→What the History Lab does for you:

(from the History Lab Management Handbook, 2001):

The Lab, under the direction and at the discretion of the Managing Graduate Assistant (MGA), provides a finite set of services for the faculty and graduate students. These are:

• Consulting on the use of multimedia methods in the classroom and for research. Consulting is provided by the Managing Graduate Assistant during his or her 20 committed hours of work. The MGA is not expected to provide any consulting outside of those hours. The MGA may be reached in one of three ways: a) in person during Lab hours; b) by telephone in the Lab during lab hours; 3) via e-mail, subject to the committed working hours of the MGA.

• Scanning (converting from analog to digital form) of slides and 2-dimensional images. These images are converted to standard .jpg files and inserted in Microsoft PowerPoint digital slide files. Patrons of this service must not expect a turn-around time of less than one week
