Each spring, a growing number of TIRP volunteers take the opportunity to mentor local high school students at a day-long leadership conference.

With USC undergraduate and graduate students serving as facilitators, high school students participate in debates on current international issues. The program is supported by professors in the School of International Relations who offer a credit option in their courses for this exceptional service learning experience.

Our partner teachers from local high schools dedicate a Saturday along with their students and USC volunteers to consider the depth and complexity of a critical global issue or regional crisis - and the policy choices that can resolve or alleviate these challenges.

Friendships are formed, ideas are exchanged, and minds are stretched during this event.
