Professor Munck's teaching and research focuses on political regimes and democratization, Latin American politics, and research methods. He is currently working on a book that outlines the methodology used in constructing a data set on democracy that he prepared for a new UNDP Report on Democratic Development in Latin America; and, with Richard Snyder, is completing a book of interviews with leading scholars in comparative politics.
