Welcome to the website for the School of International Relations Graduate Association. SIRGA exists to promote professional development and a sense of academic community among graduate students in International Relations and the program in Politics and International Relations. SIRGA is part of the newly formed umbrella student organization that represents graduate students in all PhD programs in the political science department and School of International Relations (SIR). The group plays a critical role in relaying student concerns to the faculty, and sends a voting delegate to meetings of the SIR faculty. With support from SIR and Center for International Studies, SIRGA actively contributes to the intellectual life at USC, inviting distinguished speakers to visit the campus, and hosting professional development seminars, reading groups, and meetings for exam preparation. SIRGA also sponsors and coordinates social activities and to informal get-togethers for graduate students. SIRGA receives funding from the Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) and maintains relationships with other graduate student programs on campus.
