Concentrations

The Master of Professional Writing Program (a 30 unit degree program) is unique, in that it offers students the experience of writing in multiple genres. This gives students the opportunity to explore and expand their writing interests and creates more well-rounded professionals, capable of adapting to the working world.

Students may participate in as many genres as they wish, but are required to concentrate in one genre (18 units) as their major area of concentration, which includes their thesis project. The remaining courses (12 units) can be taken as electives.
