Alumni Association
With great pleasure, the USC MPW Program announces the creation of the USC MPW Alumni Association.
We thank a core group of alumni volunteers who have been working with Madelyn Cain in her new role as MPW Program alumni liaison and Deans Cody and Kamei in organizing the association.
The mission of USC MPW Alumni Association is to encourage the continuing development of ideas among MPW alumni, to provide mentorship to current MPW students, to build a networking bridge for MPW alumni to the professional world of writing, and to enhance the image of the MPW Program and its graduates.
The Alumni Association charter can be viewed here.
NEWS
The Alumni Association will be kicking off with several upcoming events, so please make certain that your contact information is up-to-date with the office and that you join the Alumni Association group on InSCircle (http://alumni.usc.edu/), the USC-only version of MySpace and Facebook. Look for future announcements from the Alumni Association from the email account MPWAlumni@college.usc.edu.
The USC/MPW Alumni Association had a very successful Mixer at the Edison in downtown Los Angeles in September where newly elected board members mingled with alumni who were excited to hear some of the plans the Alumni Association has in mind for the group.
A Reminder: October 20th - Alumni are welcome to join present MPW students for the Agent's Forum at 1 PM in Doheny Library Lecture Hall, Room 240. Please make sure to RSVP mpw@college.usc.edu.
Look for news about an Open House sometime in November in the new MPW offices. We want our Alumni to see the beautiful new offices in Taper Hall and meet the program staff: Dean Susan Kamei, Associate Dean of Advanced and Professional Programs; Natalie Kaylor, Student Services Advisor; and Ebony Cunningham, Administrative Assistant.
