The University of Southern California Archaeology Research Center is where the USC community participates in archaeological discovery right in the heart of Los Angeles. Students are welcomed into field and lab projects centered in California, the Middle East, southern and central America and elsewhere.
USC's Archaeology Collection is a window to the everyday life and momentous events in the Old World cultures of the Near East including those in Israel, Egypt, Babylon, the Greek and Roman Empires, Turkey and Mesopotamia. Classes work hands-on with the pottery vessels, coins, jewelry, seals, tablets, glass, sculpture and other finds from archaeological excavations.
The Archaeology Research Center is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Southern California regardless of their major.
