The USC ARC Lab is a place to discover archaeology and to participate in archaeological discovery. Students are welcomed into field and lab projects centered in California, the Middle East, southern and central America and elsewhere.

USC's Archaeology Collection is a window to the everyday life and momentous events in the Old World cultures of the Near East including those in Israel, Egypt, Babylon, the Greek and Roman Empires, Turkey and Mesopotamia. Classes use the pottery vessels, coins, jewelry, seals, tablets, glass, sculpture and other finds from archaeological excavations.

The Archaeology Research Center is open to all students at the University of Southern California regardless of their major.

BREAKING NEWS:
USC's first team to use a synchrotron beam at a national lab is from ARCHAEOLOGY!! Next month, a couple USC students will join Lynn Dodd in Chicago to analyze ancient artifacts (from a site in Turkey) at the Argonne National Labs. Archaeology at USC is pretty terrific, huh?
