Kudos to REL student Ashley Sands
Ashley Sands, a Junior majoring in Religion and Classics and a member of Phi Betta Kappa, has been recognized for her outstanding research this year. Ashley took an active part in the Kenan Tepe excavation, Dr. Lynn Swartz Dodds archaeological dig in Turkey. For her work, Ashley received the Nelson Travel Award from the Department of Classics. She is also the recipient of a Dean Joan Schaefer Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding undergraduates, "who have demonstrated a continuous love for learning and scholarly excellence while addressing social, artistic, educational, health or public service issues through active leadership in university and community organizations."
