Religion Department Offering Medical Ethics Course
The School of Religion is offering REL 460 Senior Seminar: Medical Ethics this spring 2008. This class will provide interested students with a rare and first-hand look into the world of medicine and the ethical issues that accompany it. The class meets once a week at the LAC County + USC Hospital. Students will have the opportunity to engage with physicians, health care professionals, and patients. Moreover, students will have the chance to further investigate controversial ethical issues such as active euthanasia, abortion, and refusal of blood by Jehovah's Witnesses.Each week, students will be expected to write four to six pages in the form of a response paper to assigned readings. The seminar will be graded Cr/NCr. Students must submit an application for admission to the course.
