INTRODUCING:

A NEW TRAINING Program for Library and Museum Professionals, Archivists, Researchers, Scholars, and Students in the Use of Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) for Documenting Ancient Texts and Artifacts Including the Loan of Imaging Equipment

The University of Southern California’s West Semitic Research Project (www.usc.edu/dept/LAS/wsrp) has received a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to establish a Training Program in advanced imaging technologies for the documentation of ancient texts and artifacts with an initial emphasis on Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI). The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has also funded the purchase of imaging equipment to support the Training Program.

There will be several opportunities for applying for the training program, and actual dates of training will be planned on an individual basis with selected participants. Deadlines for application are:

October 15, 2012; January 15, 2013; April 15, 2013; July 15, 2013;
October 15, 2013; January 15, 2014
