Phil received his B.A. in Political Science from UCLA. Currently, he is working on his doctoral degree in Sociology, with an emphasis in the social aspects of organizations, and urban and ethnic studies. Phil has previously worked on a project analyzing the effect of mass media on peopleÕs ways of interpreting events, using the Simpson trial as an empirical case study; he has also a researcher for a published book that involved analyzing political behavior in Los Angeles from the 1960Õs to 1990Õs.
Phil is responsible for both quantitative and qualitative data generation, management and analysis. This includes content analysis of radio traffic reports, conducting focus groups and analyzing focus group response, drafting reports, and providing imput on conference data presentation.
ÒBeing able to link mass media with effectively navigating urban transportation systems is what I think M.I.P.P does best.
