USC Child Care Programs

USC Child Care was established in 1977 with the opening of the Anna Bing Arnold Child Care Center at the University Park campus. A generous gift from Anna Bing Arnold funded the building of a preschool for 60 children. With the completion of the building, the university began subsidizing child care operations as part of its employee benefits program. In 1999, the university also began to provide subsidized child care for full-time USC students. Today, the child care programs serve 199 children from the ages of six weeks to 12 years at the University Park campus and six weeks to five years at the Health Sciences campus. USC Child Care Programs are licensed by the state of California and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
