Detachment 060 Alumni,
On behalf of Detachment 060 at the University of Southern California, I thank you for your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments thus far in your journey, whether in your Air Force careers or after the Air Force. All that you do, even past your time here at Detachment 060, reflects upon the Airmen of Troy. This gives our program the rich and prestigious history we pride ourselves in, and the ability to carry on our traditions.
We feel that, through your experiences in and out of the Air Force, you are a great asset to our ROTC cadets. You are the example that we, as cadets, look up to.
Thus, we have been working on ways to better connect with you, our alumni. One of the efforts that was begun last year, the Airmen of Troy database, will be continued this year. We would greatly appreciate your input if you have not already gotten a chance to submit it. We hope to compile a comprehensive record of each commissioning class of Airmen of Troy with their academic history, career specialty, and current contact information. If you have already filled out the form last year but have updates, we would greatly appreciate that as well. We hope that this effort will aid current cadets in networking with alumni. Also, we hope that this will aid alumni in keeping in contact with each other.
There is also a USC AFROTC program page on the ROTC Network on Military.com that you may be interested in registering for. The link will be attached at the end of this letter.
In addition, we will be sending bimonthly email newsletters to keep you updated on what the detachment is doing and events that you can attend. Please look forward to receiving these soon.
Wherever you may be in your life after your time at the University of Southern California, you will always be an Airman of Troy. We hope to be able to train many more generations of successful officers like you. However, budget constraints have forced us to cut back on many training experiences that we feel our cadets deserve.
That being said, we would greatly appreciate your support in any amount. Each donation will help us better recruit, train, and retain quality officers that will carry on the proud heritage of the Airmen of Troy.
You give the Air Force ROTC program here at the University of California the ability to continue to develop future leaders through your accomplishments and continued support. Thank you for all that you do.
Wherever your life’s journey takes you, we wish you the best of luck.
One Team, Fight On!
