"Research Methods for Evaluating the Impact of Population-Based Communication Programs: Lessons from Family Planning and Public Health"
Lawrence Kincaid illustrated how social science research methods can be used to estimate the impact of population-based communication programs. He argued that the most useful approaches combined quantitative research methodologies and theories of how communication affects behavior.
Dr. Lawrence Kincaid is the Associate Director of the Research and Evaluation Division of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs. He has worked in international communication and development for more than 25 years and is an expert in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies for the evaluation of communication in health.
