Brian D. Andrews established the firm Andrews/Le Blanc Architects located in Atlanta, Georgia in 1993. Besides being one of the principal owners of his firm, Brian has taught for ten years. He feels that his focus in teaching has evolved. Brian commented, "Throughout the years, my pedagogy has continually matured and my initial scope has widened to include explorations into the fundamentals of architectural education, drawing, cultural geography, urbanology, and film." He taught at Clemson University as a Robert Mills Professor, at Syracuse University, at the University of Virginia.
Brian has worked on projects such as the Baton Rouge Cemetery in Louisiana, the San Jose Veterans Memorial in San Jose, CA, and The Productive Park in Brooklyn, NY. He received an award from the Boston Society of Architects for the Baton Rouge Cemetery in the Unbuilt Architecture Competition. Brian has also had several publications in magazines such as "The 1999 P/A Awards, Two Scupper Houses or The Dogtrot and the Shotgun, Revisited" in Architecture and "Diverse Interests, Common Themes" in LA Architect. His exhibitions include "Interventions on the Third Coast" at Syracuse University and "Three Housing Proposals" at GSD Harvard University.
