Michael Hricak established the firm Rockefeller/Hricak Architects in 1980 with his partner Darrell S. Rockefeller. He coordinates the efforts of the design team providing direction, analysis, design strategy, and management. He has worked with public, institutional, commercial, industrial, and private clients on projects involving historic restoration, adaptive reuse and renovation, multi-unit housing, custom residences, office buildings, corporate headquarters, department stores, retail shops, restaurants, and a wide variety of interior designs. Mr. Hricak is the vice-president for Communications/Public Affairs of the California Council of the AIA and, in 1996, served as president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA. He is a member of the School's Architectural Guild Board of Directors and is a frequent speaker at conferences, universities and professional meetings. He writes on a wide array of topics and remains dedicated to design education, having taught at UCLA and served on juries at all the local schools of architecture.
