[ Originally, Document LA was limited to only 100 images on photo-cd format. The grid as it appeared on the web was taken from the thumbnail index provided with the photo-cd. The sequence of the images once written onto the compact disc format was unchangeable, and served to move the viewer from one image to the next, establishing a visual narrative.
