GAMEDAY ROUTINE
The following is a schedule of the Spirit of Troy's Gameday Routine.
6:00 AM - Breakfast with sections
6:30 AM - Tuning and Warmups
7:00 AM - Sectional Rehearsals (around campus)
8:00 AM - Full Ensemble Rehearsal on Cromwell Field. During this rehearsal the band rehearses the complete pregame and halftime shows. The public is welcome to attend morning practices at this point.
11:00 AM - Full band break. Depending on when kickoff starts, the band usually recieves anwhere from one to four hours of breaktime (usually reserved for sleep). The gameday routine continues depending on the scheduled kickoff times for the games.
2 hours 30 minutes before kickoff - Drumline Warm-ups (West Steps of Heritage Hall - Facing PIC Music Practice Building)
2 hours before kickoff - Full Band Warm-ups (East Steps of Heritage Hall - Facing Annenberg School of Communication). These warmups consist of scale studies and a quick runthrough of all music that is to be played for the pregame and halftime shows. The band then marches to Alumni Park.
1 hr 45 min before kickoff - Pep-Rally at Associate's Tailgate (Alumni Park). This rally traditionally consists of a few rock charts, as well as the ever-popular TUSK and Conquest. The band then marches down Trousdale Parkway to the front of Bovard Auditorium
1 hr 30 min before kickoff - Rally in front of Bovard Auditorium. This is usually the largest rally before every game, consisting of rock charts, TUSK, Conquest, Fight On, and Tribute to Troy. The band will then march to the stadium.
30 minutes before kickoff - "Tunnel Run" into Coliseum and enter stadium
20 minutes before kickoff - Pregame Show steps off.
Directly following the game - Postgame concert in the Coliseum, march back to USC capus, play Conquest for Tommy Trojan, and end in front of the Student Bookstore.
