To honor Dr. Bartner for his decades of service and excellence, a year of celebration will commence with the 2009 football season. Two special projects have been initiated to honor his ongoing legacy. The first is a gala dinner and show at USC’s Galen Center on May 1, 2010, which will feature guest stars that have enriched the program during Dr. Bartner’s tenure. Accompanying the event will be a commemorative book chronicling the events, people, and milestones of an unprecedented career in Music Education. Alumni members of the band and interested members are welcome to fill out a reply form to attend the Gala! Read More about Dr. Bartner's 40th Anniversay Gala!

In continuing with Dr. Bartner's 40th year of leading the Trojan Marching Band, the USC Concert Band will begin their regular rehearsals from 7:00-10:00pm in Bing Rehearsal Hall, Room 200. This year's concert will feature Dr. Bartner's favorite repertoire, culminating in a concert in Bovard Auditorium in mid-March, featuring an appearance by the Trojan Marching Band! All university students are welcome to join -- we'd love to see you there, January 13, 2010!
