Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts

Deadline for the Receipt of Abstracts: March 15, 1998 (Extended)

Please air mail your abstract (original and four copies) to:

• Do not fax abstracts - faxed abstracts are not acceptable.
• If your are sending your abstract separately from your Registration/Accommodations/Activities forms (these may be faxed if credit card information is given), at your option you may send us your abstract via the Internet in Adobe Acrobat PDF file format, as a mail attachment to the ICPC Registration Chair at: ICPC@nku.edu. Be sure that your file conforms to the guidelines listed below, and that it will print out exactly as shown for the sample abstract at 100% magnification, including the identification information to be entered below the abstract proper.

Instructions

1. Abstracts should be printed in Times Roman 12 font on white US letter size (8.5 in. X 11 in.) or A4 paper. The text should fit within a rectangular box (do not show the box) measuring 17 cm (width) by 12 cm (height). The abstract should consist of the following elements (please also see the sample abstract):
   a) Title (centered, in BLOCK LETTERS).
   b) Skip one line.
   c) Name(s) of author(s) (centered; presenting author should be underlined).
   d) Skip one line.
   e) Department, institution, city, country, postal code (centered).
   f) Skip one line.
   g) Text of abstract, single-spaced (minimum 12 point line spacing)

2. The abstract should be as informative as possible. Standard abbreviations may be used. Inclusion of chemical structures is encouraged.
3. Abstracts will be printed exactly as submitted. They must be of high print quality (300 dpi or better resolution laser printer recommended). Dot matrix output will not be accepted.
4. All abstracts submitted by February 15, 1998 and accepted for presentation will be printed in the book of abstracts.
5. Please note that the Scientific Committee will only accept abstracts for presenters whose registration form and fees have been received.
6. Below the abstract, include the following information:
   a) Name of person submitting abstract.
   b) Full address, including country and any postal code.
   c) Office and fax telephone numbers, and email address
