Synthetic Reagents and methods

As a part of broader hydrocarbon chemistry focus the study and development of selective synthetic reagents and methods are also being pursued. These include organometallic systems, particularly boron and titanium based reagents, electrochemical synthesis, selective alkylating, fl uorinating, nitrating, oxygenating, carbonylating and other reagent systems.

Emphasis is also given to asymmetric reactions and new catalytic transformations. The synthetic research effort is supplemented by mechanistic studies.
