This three-year, qualitative study is an examination of the use of Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) for educational purposes. We are looking to expand our knowledge of the use of IDAs and the potential they hold for increasing access to higher education for low-income students.
Background and Focus:
Increasingly, educational leaders are concerned that the most economically impoverished in society have the least opportunity to participate in higher education. This situation has become more severe in the last two decades as policymakers at the state and federal levels have shifted their financial commitments from scholarships to loans. Read More.
