This film was produced in 1983/84  by Tajik Film for Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It features clips of the Lyaur Testing Range, in Tajikistan, and of two explosion tests (~20 tones of explosive each) conducted to test structures and equipment for a chemical plant. To  view this clip, RealPlayer G2 software is required, installed on the visitors PC (a free version can be downloaded from http://www.real.com/.  The duration of the film is ~2 min, and the quality depends on the hardware capabilities of the viewer's PC.

A VHS tape of this film was made available by Dr. S.H. Negmatulaev, the director of this institute.  The USGS-Strong Motion Team and the USC-Information Services Division provided assistance in the analogue-to-digital conversion.
