Master's Programs
Program Requirements
- MS in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering
- 27 units of course work.
- Can be completed in one academic year:
- Typically, two semesters plus a summer session.
- Additional time needed when extra courses are required to satisfy prerequisites or other requirements.
- MS with 30 or 33 units may require three semesters
- The last four units must be completed at USC.
- Four units transferred from another engineering school can be approved for credit by the Department.
- Two thirds of the units must be taken at the 500-level or above.
Admission Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited American college or university, or from a foreign institution of acceptable standing.
- A mininum grade point average of 3.0
- GRE scores
- Applicants to all Master programs (minimum quantitative score of 650)
- Applicants to Master of Construction Management may also substitute GMAT scores for GRE scores (minimum GMAT score of 650)
- A minimun of two letters of recommendation is required for Master programs
- A statement of purpose.
