Dr. Ali is a Transportation Engineer with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). He has several years of teaching, research and industrial experience. Besides working on several Geotechnical projects in the USA, Dr. Ali worked on several projects in South East Asia in the areas of soil improvement by vertical drains, management of construction project, analysis and design of deep foundation, instrumentation and monitoring of highway embankment on soft clay, and many others. He has over 20 years of Teaching, research and professional experience.
