Instructions for Viewing Graduate MS and PhD Applications


All student advisors and faculty members need an autorization from the Department Chair before they can view graduate applications on our online application system, referred to as ApplyYourself.

Authorization Process
  • Download a request account form, print it, fill it out and sign it.
  • Complete the FERPA tutorial at http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/ferpa/tutorial/, print the acknowledgement, and sign it
  • Bring your completed request account form, and signed acknoledgement to KAP210.
  • A few days after having returned your request account form and confirmation, you will receive an email with your user ID and password to login into ApplyYourself.
How to View an Application
  • You need to have cleared the authorization process to view an application
  • Using an internet browser (IE preferably), connect to https://webcenter.applyyourself.com/ 
  • As Client ID, enter usc-grad
  • Enter the user ID and Password specific to ApplyYourself, which you received from USC
  • Using the menu to the left hand side, select the following items:
    • Select a System
      •  Application System
        • Application for Admission
  • In the menu to the left hand side, click on Search by Applicant
  • Select All in the field Submission Date
  • Click on the radio button Search by Individual
  • Enter the applicant first name and last name, and click on submit.
  • You should obtain a list of one or several student
  • Select Print Application in the field Select an Action
  • Click on the radio button Apply to All
  • Click on the PDF icon on the right hand side to view a PDF file of the application
  • You can print and save this file.  However, make sure not to break  FERPA regulations.
