Welcome Prof. Erik R. Christensen

Prof. Erik R. Christensen is a new visiting faculty member in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

His research interests are receptor modeling of organic compounds in the aquatic environment; ecotoxicology; and stormwater modeling.

His current research projects include quantification of sources and transformations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), based on sediment records.

During his visit at USC, he will compare the Unmix code with positive matrix factorization, and will also work on other aspects of innovative environmental data analysis including non-parametric regression techniques and time-series analysis.
