Chilingarian returned from Thailand where there were celebrations in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej for his 60 years on the throne. The Kings from all over the World were present. Professor Chilingarian presented his 60th book dedicated to His Majesty entitled “Probability in Petroleum and Environmental Engineering.”

Professor Chilingarian also presented his 61st book to His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and Her Highness Lovely Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned. The book entitled “Geology and Geochemistry of Oil and Gas” was dedicated to them. It was written in cooperation with Russian scientists. Professor Chilingarian is the President of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, U.S. Branch.

New Book by Professor George V. Chilingar
GEOLOGY AND GEOCHEMISTRY OF OIL AND GAS, 52
G.V. Chilingar, L. Buryakovsky, N.A. Eremenko, M.V. Gorfunkel

Discussions in this book are based on the systems approach to the specific geologic systems. Along with this approach, mathematical modeling  of the static and dynamic geologic systems is described as well. The use of mathematical methods and computer techniques increased the scope of problems that can be solved on the basis of integrated geological, geophysical, geochemical and engineering information.  Mathematical methods using computer processing of the current information accelerate the process of regional and local prediction of oil and gas potential that, in general, increases the economical and geolgic efficiency of exploration, development, and production of oil and gas.

PROBABILITY IN PETROLEUM AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
Leonid F. Khilyuk, PhD, George V. Chilingar, PhD, and Herman H. Rieke, PhD

The authors have chosen the direct way of presenting the main probabilistic concepts, using examples of corresponding environmental issues as illustrations and sources of probability problems.  This book can be regarded as a necessary introductory guide to probability theory and its logic for the students and professionals who will have to ameliorate and/or manage environmental issues.
