Utah State University, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in transportation engineering. It is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field. Professional registration and/or practical experience are desirable. Candidates for this position must be capable of teaching core undergraduate transportation courses and graduate courses in specialized areas of transportation engineering. An ability to develop a strong research program through extra-mural funding is essential. Research interests should be in one or more of the following areas: safety, traffic engineering, mass transit, high performance computing in transportation engineering, transportation logistics and controls, large scale network optimization and simulation, and information technology. A dedication to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, collaboration with other faculty in transportation related areas, service, and scholarly achievements will be required of all applicants.
