The Fourth International Conference on Stochastic Structural Dynamics will be held at the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Notre Dame. Founded in 1842, Notre Dame is a Catholic University offering undergraduate, graduate and professional programs to 10,000 students. This fee may be paid via credit card, check or money order in U.S. dollars. If paying by credit card please fill out the appropriate information on the registration form.
Refund of registration fee will be granted to those who cancel their registration prior to July 15, 1998. A $15 processing fee will be charged for each cancellation.
Limited blocks of hotel rooms have been reserved for conference participants at the Morris Inn (on campus) and the Inn at Saint Mary's (near the campus). Air conditioned rooms have also been reserved in a Notre Dame residence hall. Please complete and return the registration form to reserve lodging accommodations.
The University of Notre Dame is located approximately 5 miles from the Michiana Regional Airport in South Bend, Indiana, and about ten minutes from intercity bus and train service from downtown Chicago.
Several major airlines serve South Bend with jet as well as commuter services. Your travel consultant can help you plan your itinerary, keeping in mind that the conference lodging accommodations are available from August 5 through check out on August 9 (from August 4 for participants in the parallel processing short course).
A program for guests and spouses will be available and will incorporate many popular sight-seeing activities, including tours of the campus and local community, day trips to Amish Acres as well as shopping expeditions to the Lighthouse Place.
A visit to the College Football Hall of Fame is available. The South Bend Silver Hawks baseball team (a minor-league affiliate of the new Arizona Diamondbacks) has a home game at Coveleski Stadium the evening of August 5 (7pm); please send us e-mail if this would be of interest to you.
