EXPRESS YOUR VOICE THROUGH ART
The Center for Women & Men and USC Men Care are hosting our first Domestic Violence Awareness Week, October 20-25, as part of national Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, the Center for Women & Men and USC Men Care will be hosting Silent Witness, an exhibit that shows the many faces of people affected by domestic violence, or intimate partner violence. As part of this exhibit, the Center for Women & Men is inviting USC students to contribute their own piece that reflects on this year's theme, "Because It Hurts Everybody." All forms of creative expression – art, fiction, poetry, etc. – will be accepted. If you would like to be part of the exhibition, please e-mail Ebonish Lamar or bring your work to the Center for Women and Men in STU 202C. All submission are due by October 10, 2008. We will accept anonymous submissions. Please indicate if you would like the original work returned to you at the conclusion of the exhibition. For more information about ways you can get involved, please email or call (213) 740-4900.
