Volunteer Program

The Vertebrate Paleontology Department takes volunteers into the prep lab and teaches them the skills necessary to handle and prepare fossils. Volunteers are active many exciting projects including the preparation of the T. rex, Thomas, uncovered by the museum's dinosaur expedition. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can see the Museum's volunteer page.

Work Study Program

Another advantage of the partnership between the Museum and USC is opportunity for USC undergraduates to do their work study at the Museum. Several USC art students work in the Vertebrate Paleontology Department and Dinosaur Institute creating illustrations for publication.
