Funded by the Ford Foundation, the ASHE Institutes on Equity and Critical Policy Analysis is a collaborative effort among several prominent faculty members as well as research and policy centers of postsecondary education who show a commitment to identifying and changing the educational policies and practices that sustain racial-ethnic inequities in higher education.
The Institutes' core activities will include:
Research methods workshops focused on analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data from critical perspectives to address issues of inequities in higher education that are at the forefront of policy agendas.
Establishing relationships with policy centers and other organizations to provide new and early career policy analysts access to influential networks where they can create a dialogue to frame policy issues from the perspective of equity.
Workshops on scholarly publishing for early-career faculty whose research asks or has the potential of asking critical research questions and creating knowledge to support equity-oriented changes in policy, practices, and institutions.
