Elsa Macias (eemacias@usc.edu) is
the Director of Professional Development at the Center for Urban Education (CUE).
Her areas of research include academic leadership and organizational change in
urban colleges and universities, minority access to higher education, and educational
technology. In her role at CUE she directs action research projects to improve
equity in educational outcomes for minority students in post-secondary institutions.
Prior to joining USC, she worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Tomás
Rivera Policy Institute. Dr. Macias has served in an advisory capacity to the
National Academy of Sciences (NAS), and regularly briefs elected officials at
the federal, state, and local levels.
