June Ahn is a research associate with the Center on Educational Governance. He began the doctoral program in Urban Education at the University of Southern California in the fall of 2006. June earned his bachelor's degree in computing and education from Brown University and received his master's degree in computing and education from Teachers College, Columbia University. June has taught middle school math and high school computer science in both urban public and private school settings. He also has experience in school management, working as a director of technology in a K-8 private school. June's research interests include the impact of communication technologies in education, the application of network analysis in the areas of social capital, social networks, and student achievement, and urban school reform.
