Jennifer L. Polhemus comes from a business background
and has worked for many years as a consulting economist.
She received her Bachelors degree cum laude and her Masters
degree at USC, both in economics. She is currently a
Ph.D. student in educational policy and organization
at the Rossier School of Education and was recently awarded
a Campbell Fellowship to study the policy implications
of innovative non-salary compensation for teachers. Her
research interests include the application of business
logic to public schools, school governance, public/private
partnerships, entrepreneurship, education economics,
teacher professionalization, school and teacher incentives,
and accountability.
