Mark is a Ph.D. candidate in educational psychology at the University of Minnesota. His research interests include innovation in education, adolescent development, teacher-student relationships, and teacher education and professional development. Mark received his master's in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2006; his master's thesis addressed motivation and psychological development in secondary school students. Mark's work has been published in the Journal of Comparative Psychology and the Journal of School Psychology. Before entering the field of education, Mark spent ten years in the technology industry and held several positions related to systems development in Stockholm, Sweden and Melbourne, Australia. Mark received his bachelor's in computer science from the University of Wisconsin in 1991.
