Academy Student Activities
At the Academy, we believe activities outside the classroom are an important part of the language learning process. The Language Academy employs a full-time Student Services Coordinator who arranges all activities. A full set of fun and educational activities are provided for students each semester.

At least one cultural, educational or social activity is planned per week. Typical outings in a semester are trips to Disneyland, the J.Paul Getty Museum, Santa Monica beach, Hollywood Boulevard and a TV studio visit , performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra , a Dodgers baseball game, tours of Beverly Hills or downtown L.A. and an on-campus barbecue and volleyball game. Most Academy activities are offered at very low or no cost to the student.
Each term, the Student Services Coordinator organizes an out-of-town trip such as San Francisco, Catalina Island, snow skiing in Big Bear or Mammoth Lakes, Grand Canyon, San Diego, and Las Vegas. These trips are offered to Academy students at a discount group rate and provide wonderful experiences and lasting memories.
Students may also take part in the many campus activities sponsored by the Intramural-Recreation Office and the Office for International Services. Students living in Academy Housing will also have numerous event opportunities planned by their Resident Advisors.
