How to Apply as a Transfer Student

If you are currently at another school and would like to transfer to the USC Language Academy please complete the following simple steps:

  1. Print and complete the application. You will need to be near a printer.

    Click here to Download the 2009 Application Form.

  2. Remember that applications cannot be processed without the Application Fee. For information about cancellations and refunds please see our Cancellation and Refund Policy

    If you are applying for housing please visit the Academy Housing information pages and download the Housing Reservation Form.

  3. Prepare your Financial Support Documents.
    All applications must be sent with a financial statement that certifies sufficient funds are available to meet both your living and tuition expenses while at USC. Your financial statement must show a minimum of $2,500 (U.S.) for each month of study. This amount would be enough for all of your educational expenses. One of the following is required for your financial statement:
    • A current personal bank statement or letter from your bank.
    • A current letter of support AND bank statement from your parent, guardian, employer or sponsor.

    • A scholarship letter from your government or sponsoring organization.

  4. Submit the above documents to the USC Language Academy!

After you have submitted your applicaiton form:

After you submit your application documents to the Language Academy we will mail you your admission packet including your admission letter.

If you are an F-1 international student you will need to submit a copy of your USC Language Academy admission letter to your current school and ask them to transfer your I-20 form to the USC Language Academy.

You will receive your new"transfer" I-20 form after completing your current program. You have 60 days from the end of your current program to transfer to the USC Language Academy and you must begin your program within 5 months of finishing your previous program.
