US Department of Commerce - Trade Stats
As the name implies, this site is a clearinghouse for statistics on US trade. You can find total exports by state, regional exports by 2-digit SIC code, state and regional exports of the world, and the value of state exports ranked by country of destination. The much-anticipated metropolitan data will soon be posted to this site as well.
Executive Office of
the President - US Trade Representative
This site is a
guide to the Office of the US Trade Representative, and has links to
specific trade programs, reports, and key contact information.
International Trade Data
System (ITDS)
This site was established to provide
information on the progress of ITDS - (a project of Vice President
Gore's National Performance Review) - a system designed to facilitate
advancements in international trade. Currently, you can access
information on the North American Trade Automation Prototype (related
to NAFTA), a helpful glossary of trade terms, and information on ITDS
itself. Soon, this site will enable operational processing of on-line
federal trade regulations.
Export Hotline and
TradeBank
"The best source of global trade information
for growing companies looking to develop new business and new markets
- around the world." The Export Hotline provides information on
expanding into new markets. TradeBank connects you with potential
partners in the international trade business.
NAFTAnet
NAFTAnet is an electronic commerce port-of-trade geared to small businesses
wishing to expand into international trade markets. Although there
are a tremendous number of links at this site, one particularly
exciting one links you to information on reducing trade costs and
turnaround time using Electronic Commerce / Electronic Data
Interchange.
ExportNET
"The
exciting new business tool that provides you with a world of
information, products and services to help you profit in the global
economy." Some of ExportNET's services available via the web include
access to "Export Today" magazine, trade show and conference
announcements, and a "matchmaking" link connecting you with
distributors, foreign supply sources, funding, and international
marketing help.

Trade and Commerce Agency -- Division of Trade and Investment
This site connects you to entrepreneurial alliances allowing you
to explore, expand and seize international market opportunities. Its
links include the Export Finance Bank, the Offices of Foreign
Investment, California-Mexico Affairs, and Export Development.
TradePort
Features on this site include editorials explaining how to
export, integrated access to the Commerce Department's national trade
databank, free help from personnel at export assistance
organizations, and access to an extensive California company
database.
BayTrade
BayTrade is an export promotion and international trade program,
building on the Bay Area's strength as a world class business center.
This site provides a network for export opportunities and is an
online compendium for market research and economic development.
LATrade
This is the homepage of LATrade, a cooperative trade-oriented
partnership of the five-county area of Los Angeles, Orange,
Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura. This site provides a
description of LATrade's services, including export counseling,
marketing support, export plan development, and loan
counseling/packaging, as well as directions on how to access your
nearest trade office.
California-Russia
Trade Association (CARTA)
This site is a guide to CARTA,
a California-based trade association focused on CA-Russia trade
opportunities. At this site you can access information on the
association and its membership as well as the latest news on doing
