JPL Technology Affiliates Program
The Technology Affiliates Program was created to assist U.S. corporations to be
come more competitive. The University of Southern California (USC) is your
intermediary to technology transfer opportunities and technical expertise from
one of the foremost research institutes in the United States - the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory. Company members of the program form a strategic
alliance with JPL, which is people-focused - based on one-to-one relationships
-and driven by industry needs. JPL responds to the technical needs of member
companies by transferring technology, conducting feasibility studies, holding
conferences and private seminars and providing technical information exchanges.
These efforts can all be accomplished under a single contract through USC. Each
company places funds in a retainer account, which is used for the purposes
listed above. Individual tasks are negotiated between the company's technical
staff members and JPL. Tasks can begin as soon as management approval is
obtained. No lengthy contractual negotiation is required for separate tasks.
Your company can arrange for a private, no-cost seminar at JPL to evaluate
their ability to help solve your technical problems.
