NASA Supports Technology in the Region
On a corner of the campus of the University of Southern Califonia, a handful of hardy souls toils ceaselessly to provide technology transfer resources to technology-base companeis in the region. The USC Engineering Technologoy Transfer Center is just one of six Regional Technology Transfer Centers which combine to form a nationwide network designed to facilitate the transfer of technology and technical knowledge from NASA, the Federal Laboratory Consortium and other national and international orgaization to U.S. business, industrial and government clients. The USCETTC is a NASA-supported facility within NASA's Office of Advance Concepts and Technolgy.
The USCETTC has developed a variety of services to address the needs of the region, including market assessment and needs identification, assessments and analysis. Information is provided through retropective searches, current awareness searches and NASA Selected Current Aerospace Notices (SCANS) which describe recent reports and journalson aeronautics and aerospace research.
