Brian Leon is the Associate Director for the USC Engineering Technology Transfer Center. He is responsible for new business development, project administration, and information systems utilization.

Mr. Leon interacts with both University and NASA officials with respect to contractual administration matters for the ETTC. He supervises a staff of Information Systems Specialists, whose areas of responsibility cover hardware/software integration, system design, and data security. Currently, Mr. Leon is leading the Center’s efforts in the use of multimedia technologies for high quality presentations and partnership programs.

Mr. Leon has authored or co-authored a multitude of winning project proposals on behalf of the ETTC. The resultant funding from these proposals has come from a variety of governmental and private organizations seeking to expand their technology commercialization efforts by accessing the knowledge and resources of the ETTC.

Mr. Leon began working at the ETTC during his senior year at the University of Southern California. During that period, Mr. Leon worked on several projects relating to the commercialization of technology developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Mr. Leon co-authored two Commercial Market Assessments of JPL's Aerogel Technology. In addition to his work with NASA, Mr. Leon has led teams to evaluate and market the intellectual property of firms such as AlliedSignal, Litton Industries, and the Aerospace Corporation.

Mr. Leon's areas of interest include digital cinema, documentaries, and Formula One racing. Mr. Leon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor degree in Law & Society from the University of Southern California.
